At the beginning of the 80ies, a first group of what later on becomes Termomeccanica Compressori starts to work basing on the experience made with refrigerating compressors. Between 1985 and 1986 the first screw compressors TM brand are built and mounted in TM.P. facilities; these first compressors, named CVA8 and CVA10.
1989 is a very important year for Termomeccanica since it acquires license from SRM (world leader in screw compressor design) and starts production of the new series SCA with its models SCA8 and SCA10.

The crucial turning point is the privatisation in 1995 and the following important investments that allow the research of new designs and the construction of better production systems dedicated especially to screw compressors.
In the following years new products such as SCA14 and SCA22 are put on the market as well as the new series of fully integrated compressors named SCI. Furthermore a machining centre for the production of compressor housings and an automatic rotor production line are started.
In these years the SCA series is enriched with models SCA6, 

SCA13, SCA19 and SCA25 and also SCI6 is introduced.
Recently, in response to the customers' requirements, our technical department has developed a new Semi-integrated compressor series, named Compact, the new series of oil-free compressors SCD and new model SCA7L.
Furthermore TMC has launched into the market its own series of inlet valves.
Since 2007 the new production plant in Taranto is TMC's feather in the cap with its completely automatic production line for medium-large rotors.
